I feel like AI fucked up the job market, but not in the “AI took you jobs” way, but I’ve read at least one article where a staffing company was bombarding everyone with low-quality AI spam applications to convince companies they can’t find anyone good and they need staffing companies. Same thing on the other side, lots of AI filtering on job applications, and also companies sometimes leave job ads up even if not hiring to “keep tabs on the market” and have HR departments keep doing something during hiring freezes.

A visa is a contract between the immigrant and the state, with the employer acting as a third party, not as an intermediary. This is indentured servitude, basically formalising the current system where these people are allowed in as long as they are only used to undercut local wages, but they can’t seek their own happiness and freedom.

Look, on the one hand, I understand your sentiment. On the other hand, these are the voters you have, blaming them won’t get them to the polls, “teaching them a lesson” won’t get them to the polls. As hard as it may be to primary the Dems who are voting for Trump’s picks, who are voting for genocide, who are even trying to pull Trump towards war right now, it is still easier than getting new voters if you’re not into domestic genocide like Trump.

I understand you’re frustrated with voters, but it’s something that you can’t change. Some people will not vote if the options are “one genocide or two genocides”. You can change the politicians, try to get more people like AOC and Bernie and less people like Schumer though.
